IIID Foundation: The What & Why

Updated: Apr 14, 2022

So you might be wondering "what is IIID foundation?". What does that mean? I thought I knew makeup!

These were all of my thoughts when I first discovered Seint. Now that I've been playing with this bomb makeup for a few months and I have a handle on it, I thought I would share what I have learned with you.

So let's get into it!

We all know how traditional makeup goes. First, you apply your foundation of one colour all over your face, essentially making your face very flat with no definition. Then you go in with your concealer to brighten your eyes and the centre of your face. Next, is your contour to give you back the definition you just washed out, adding heavy layers of makeup to create something you already had to begin with. This is the old way, it's played out and I'm not here for anymore lol. I am ready to ditch the many products, big makeup bags, and cakey makeup.

So let's talk about IIID Foundation and how it's different. There are 3 products that make up IIID foundation; main highlight [foundation], brightening highlight [concealer], and contour. Each of these products are applied on your face in a single layer exactly where they are supposed to go. We're only adding what we need to enhance our natural beauty, not cover it up. You get to use the natural shadows and highlights of your face to guide your makeup placement.

Another point to mention about IIID Foundation is it’s all cream based makeup. The application and wear is very different from traditional makeup. Cream makeup does not dry, so there is no cracking like traditional foundation. It's easy and fast to apply, making it great for those who are new to make up. It's very easy to blend, placement is forgiving, and mistakes are a breeze to touch up. When it's all on and you're good to go, you're definitely going to notice how light it is on the skin and it will stay this way all day! It will continue to move with your skin, not crack or dry out.

IIID cream makeup also won't settle into fine lines making it ideal for all skin types, but especially mature skin. You're able to achieve a natural, dewy finish when set with just setting spray and also a matte finish when set with setting powder. My favorite difference with this makeup is that it is highly pigmented. This means you don't have to use as much product as traditional makeup and you can get light, medium, or full coverage because it is buildable.

In my opinion, IIID Foundation has so many more benefits than traditional makeup it's a no brainer to switch. If you're still not convinced check out these before & afters. You'll thank me later 😉
